I took the boys to The Arboretum today

We spent a good hour trekking through the snow and exploring the area

Owen really enjoyed some of the wintered gardens, and I found some inspiration too

 FINALLY

This was such a wonderful sight

The early beginnings of Spring

It brightened my entire day

A perfect way to spend Monday

It really seems to be a long winter this year.  Funny, because I usually love the winter.  This year is tough though because I am dying for the colour to show up in my pictures again.

In the meantime, I have picked up a few books to hopefully help inspire me.  Robert Frank’s The Americans and Colin Harding’s Classic Cameras.

I have been suffering from some uninspired blahs this last week.  The winter seems to be taking a toll on me and my creativity.

I know spring is just around the corner, and I am eager for it like never before.

This is from watching the 401 traffic in Puslinch tonight.  It was my first time experimenting with car light streaks.  I had way too much fun once I figured out what I was doing.  Juvenile fun, but still fun.

Owen is on the mend.  Not 100%, but back to a lot of his old tricks.  It was a long weekend full of coughing, crying and long naps.  It is wonderful to have him and his huge personality back.

Withered

This is a little like how I feel today…

Owen has been really sick this week.  He has suffered through bouts of coughing, a spiking fever and long restless nights for both of us.  After a doctor’s visit today and some chest x-rays, we found out his poor little body is fighting pneumonia.  I think we caught it pretty early, but it still seems to be kicking the hell out of him.

It is going to be a long weekend full of fluids, amoxicillin and lots and lots of rest.

Locked

Another shot from Sunday at Twin Ponds.  Nothing special though.  Although, there are several of these locked boxes around the Twin Ponds area.  I have no idea what there are protecting.  It makes me way too curious for my own good.

I haven’t really been out since, unless you count my walk last night.  It was nice in the cold winter air, but far too dark to take any shots.

Night shots are very intimidating to me.

I am hoping to get out for a bit tomorrow after work.  Seems like a good time to go, as the days are getting just a little bit longer.
